This piece of Russian literature was like eating chocolate cheesecake: it was so rich that you went through it slowly. A beautiful story that I couldn't wait to get to. Very thought provoking discussing ideas on the law, the penal system and the Church. A book that I will definately read again and again and know I will get even more out of it each time.

A romance that ultimately shows the consequences of betrayal. A truly wonderful story of truth, and the ability for an individual to turn his life around for a long lost love.
