Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An Amazing Read This book was great. Jean Plaidy did a great job endearing the spunky character of Mary Tudor to readers. Mary is headstrong and determined to get her way, but is a very kind, loving person and creates the image of a nearly perfect princess. One follows Mary's emotional rollarcoaster, but one feeling never changes; her love for Charles Brandon. It isn't really a romance novel at all, but Marys and Charles' love for one another adds to the storyline greatly. Unfortunately, about halfway through the book, several dull chapters are dedicated to the French royal family, no mention of our favourite heroine at all. We see other enjoyable characters growing up, but things do get boring after a while. However, it's all worth it when we get to see these characters, whom we have now gotten to know as people, interact with Mary. Overall, it was a great read that it definitely worth looking at.
