Rated 5 out of 5 by from FLAB U LESS I am a fitness instructor/personal trainer. I have worked with people who are following this lifestyle changing nutrition plan. I don't consider it a diet because you are eating all the foods you normally eat. Dr. Barry Sears is amazing and has helped several of my clients/friends by showing them how to eat and increase their energy throughout the day, lose weight and they feel better about themselves. The book has recipes for zone meals, helps you to calculate the blocks of food your body needs and how to measure it out. It is a very personal nutrition program that anyone can use. Dr. Sears uses food as a drug. Eating every 5 hours and before you are hungry, so that you don't over-eat or snack - the ZONE keeps your insulin and glucagon levels are flat throughout the day. I suggest the zone to everyone because it forces you to eat balanced meals. My husband and I are zoned and enjoy the meals immensely. If you need to lose weight or want to increase your energy levels try this nutrition program.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This will pUmP you up! Ok so I watched Oprah and heard all the fuss about this book and like many people, went out and baught it. I was skeptic at first but Dr. Sears just makes so much sense. My next thought was if it is THE solution why doesn't everybody have this book? The answer to that question is in the book itself, its because this is a life long process and its not a pill or a flick of a switch and your there. The book might be deceiving in size but I read it in 3 days. 30% of the book is receipes and charts helping you succeed your goal. The fact that there are receipes makes it much easier for the readers who want to begin this program. This is the only "diet" that worked for me and Barry Sears does an amazing job describing how it works. No hard, science jargon used...
