Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Orchid Beach Holly Barker, newly retired from the military, takes over the Orchid Beach police force when the chief who hired her is killed. I was disappointed with this novel, especially as I had enjoyed his earlier ones, such as Dirt and Choke. The plot was lame, the dialogue seemed stilted, the characters had no depth and were for the most part unrealistic, as were many of the scenes and situations. Quite frankly, forgettable.

From Our Editors

A sexual harassment scandal involving a high-ranking colonel pushed Holly Barker into early retirement from the Army. Now, at 37, she's the deputy police chief in what was once a sleepy little Florida town. But Orchid Beach is anything but quiet right now. Holly's friends and co-workers are dying in vicious attack, and if she can't figure out why, she might just be next. Stuart Woods is the bestselling author of 17 novels.
