Looking to get lucky?

Stephanie Plum is back between-the-numbers and she’s looking to get lucky in an Atlantic City hotel room, in a Winnebago, and with a brown-eyed stud who has stolen her heart.

Stephanie Plum has a way of attracting danger, lunatics, oddballs, bad luck . . . and mystery men. And no one is more mysterious than the unmentionable Diesel. He’s back and hot on the trail of a little man in green pants who’s lost a giant bag of money. Problem is, the money isn’t exactly lost. Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur has found it, and like any good Jersey senior citizen, she’s hightailed it in a Winnebago to Atlantic City and hit the slots. With Lula and Connie in tow, Stephanie attempts to bring Grandma home, but the luck of the Irish is rubbing off on everyone: Lula’s found a job modeling plus-size lingerie. Connie’s found a guy. Diesel’s found Stephanie. And Stephanie has found herself in over her head with a caper involving thrice-stolen money, a racehorse, a car chase, and a bad case of hives.

Plum Lucky is an all-you-can-eat buffet of thrills, chills, shrimp cocktail, plus-size underwear, and scorching hot men. It’s a between-the-numbers treat no Evanovich fan will want to miss!

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun. You just can't forget the characters and laugh as you go along for this ride. it's a light read (read it in one sitting one night) but it doesn't disappoint and keeps you hooked. Diesel stirs the pot in Stephanie's love life but it sure would be nice to see Stephanie's relationships develop or diminish rather than just bob along.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fabulous read!!! Janet Evanovich is at it again with another edition of between-the-numbers served up in the same style as her previous other two books. In this one Stephanie is looking to get lucky in Atlantic City! Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur found a bag of money that belongs to a little man in green pants and has gone off to Atlantic City to hit the slots! Stephanie tries to bring Grandma home but Irish luck seems to be rubbing off on everyone; Lula’s found a modeling job, Connie’s found a guy and Diesel finds Stephanie. Another between-the-numbers treat by Janet Evanovich that you won’t be able to put down even when you are laughing so hard!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome! Another typical "I CAN"T PUT IT DOWN" Janet Evanovich novel! The only author I have ever read that can make me laugh out loud with every one of her books!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Bad For Stephanie Plum addicts like me these books are welcome however, they are a bit on the silly side compared to the "number" books.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic plum! A purely entertaining, funny, quick read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laughed Out Loud I don't often laugh out loud when reading a book, but like all Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels, I couldn't contain myself. It's just great escapism. Read it this morning and the only problem I had with it - it was over too fast!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic I love the chemistry created by the cross fire sarcasm between Diesel and Stephanie. While the plot does not go that deep it is a great interaction between all our favourite burg characters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Likable and light This is a great visit to the world of Plum. It's entertaining and laugh-worthy, like everything Plum from Evanovich. Just don't go into this book experience looking for a deep plot. You know who's who and what's what for the most part. It's the getting there that makes this an entertaining read.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved it Janet Evanovich never disappoints. This latest installment of the trials and tribulations of Stephanie Plum was laugh-out-loud funny and an all around good read. Go ahead and get this - you won't regret it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very entertaining! What a great way raise your endorphin level in a short time! The book is not long, but it involves the usual cast of characters in the usual hilarious predicaments, with the usual Plum results. It doesn't take long to read, except for the parts you have to read out loud to anyone who hears your hysterical laughter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice fluff That was a cute enough book. As long as you don't have any expectations of advancement in the plot or characters, you should enjoy this story. Grandma Mazur is as over-the-top as usual, Lula has a hilarious diversion scene that will make you howl, another of Stephanie's cars bites the dust and there is a hilarious conversation between Steph and Ranger about parking a horse....Priceless. Actually, we saw/heard about Ranger more often than usual, which was enough to make me happy. Stephanie seems to officially consider Morelli her boyfriend, but hey, hope springs eternal. No sex, barely some references, hugging and a running gag about Stephanie's bra, but the ending provides an interesting opening for a Stephanie-Ranger confrontation. All in all, this is nice, typical Evanovich fluff.

About the Author

Janet Evanovich is the author of the Stephanie Plum books, including One for the Money and Sizzling Sixteen, and the Diesel & Tucker series, including Wicked Appetite. Janet studied painting at Douglass College, but that art form never quite fit, and she soon moved on to writing stories. She didn’t have instant success: she collected a big box of rejection letters. As she puts it, “When the box was full I burned the whole damn thing, crammed myself into pantyhose and went to work for a temp agency.” But after a few months of secretarial work, she managed to sell her first novel for $2,000. She immediately quit her job and started working full-time as a writer. After 12 romance novels, she switched to mystery, and created Stephanie Plum. The rest is history. Janet’s favorite exercise is shopping, and her drug of choice is Cheeze Doodles. She and her husband live in New Hampshire, in house with a view of the Connecticut River Valley.
