by Sara Shepard

HARPERCOLLINS PUBLISHERS | April 18, 2011 | Trade Paperback

Pretty Little Liars #8: Wanted is rated 4.25 out of 5 by 8.

Being wanted isn''t always a good thing.

For three long years, Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily wondered what happened the night their best friend Alison disappeared. Now that all their questions have finally been answered, they can put this awful chapter of their lives behind them. Or so they think.

Not every story has a happy ending, especially when four pretty little liars have done so many wicked things. Will the girls get everything they''ve ever wanted? Not if I have anything to say about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wanted. The Final Book :) Wanted is the final book to a great series. Personally when I found out the big secret it wasnt hard to see the twist and turns coming within the book. I feel that it ended the series in a good way. It was a nice summer read.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wanted Dead or alive.. ** Some spoilers for the previous books, No spoilers for Wanted** Wanted is the 8th and final book in the Pretty Little Liars series. It really reads like a finishing book, intense, detailed and full of twists and turns. The pretty little liars have escaped being framed for Alison’s murder with someone completely random, Billy Ford, being accused of the murder and the identity of A, instead. With the random working man, Billy, behind bars, things have quieted again for the girls. Well, only where A was concerned anyways. The public is far less forgiving as anyone in the limelight could retell. They’re still accused of lying and being psycho after claiming to have seen Ali alive and well. Emily, Hanna, Spencer and Aria avoid each other even more than in the past. Things don’t just go away overnight, especially not with new secrets on the horizon. Everyone thinks they can rest peacefully now, but little do they know the past will hunt them back down, knock them off their feet, and give them more kicks while they’re down. Billy turning out to be the master mind killer and the famous conniving “A” just seemed wrong and too anticlimactic (in the last book). So, of course, we get fistfuls of new juicy information. The DiLaurentis family has many more skeletons in their closet than anyone can imagine. Something comes out that shocks everyone, down to our little liars. Surprising blow after blow, keeps the girls guessing as to what is real and what’s in their imagination. Do our liars get their big questions of the past finally answered? Who really killed Ali? And will they learn from the past to save their sketchy futures? Finally, all our questions get answered, but you’ll have to read the book to find them all out. Wanted was a great finish to the PLL series. It was well paced, intricate and left with a sense of closure (sort of). There are still gaps left strangely enough, but that makes the ending brilliant for the kind of hellish adventure this has been for the four girls. It always feels bittersweet to have a series come to an end. But, luckily at the back of the book, we are treated to an advertisement telling us about an upcoming series from the one and only Sara Shepard. More mystery and more girl drama ahead, I hope. It’s been a great series, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys some nonstop drama, teen romance and butt loads of mystery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally, the suspense is over! All is revealed in the last book of the series. Was the ending good? Well, in my opinion, yes and no. It was definitely an unpredictable page-turner. I couldn't put it down. There was no way you could have guessed what would happen. *spoilers* Okay, Sara, really, a twin? Really? That part of the book just made me look at the ceiling and think why? It's so unoriginal to me, having an evil twin. But, I forgive you Sara, because Courtney was a much better evil twin than I thought she would be. She basically picked up where Ali left off, joining the 4 Pretty Little Liars together again. She was just like the old Ali...and that was because she claimed she was. This part of the book made my head spin. After apologizing for the secrets she held over their head, it seemed like everyone (especially Emily) was ready to forgive her. Except for Aria. And I agreed with her. Something didn't seem right about Ali. Sara Shepard definitely went all out with this final book. My head hurt from trying to figure out what was happening and what was going to happen. The pieces fit together and the puzzle of Ali, A, and the killer was revealed. Definitely a must read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's going to be a heart stopper! In the final book of the prettty little liars series, it is said that we will discover the truth about what happened the night Alison went missing, about the new A's identity and about the body that was found in the hole in Ali's former backyard. Did Billie Ford really kill Ali? or did he take the blame for someone else for whatever reason? Was it really Ali's body in the hole? or are the cops still covering something up? What is really up with Wilden? Was it really Jason who was attending the Radley? And what will happen to our favorite Pretty Little Liars? will they give up their old ways? or are they destined to repeat the past? What really happened the night of the seventh grade sleepover? And the most interesting question of all: Who is A? All these intriguing questions will be answered in the last installment of this National Bestselling Series. Apparently, Aria will finally find true love in Wanted but we dont know with whom, except that this person is not a new character, so will it be Ezra,Jason, Noel? If not, who? You all may also already know that on the same date as the Wanted release, the TV series based on the books will start airing on ABC Family, for more info on the TV show, go to IMDB.com . This is what Sara Shepard, the author, has posted on the official Pretty Little Liars Website: "The TV show debuts on June 8. That's also when WANTED, the conclusion to the PLL series, comes out! You guys ready? I'm pretty sure WANTED is the craziest, scariest PLL yet!" It is also rumored that She wants to publish Ali's Diary, after Wanted. Ali's Diary has always been an interesting subject since it is filled with dark secrets of her friends and probaly her own. But we will have to wait and see. Until then. Kisses. -A

In the dramatic conclusion of Shepard's bestselling Pretty Little Liars series, Emily, Hanna, Aria, and Spencer could get everything they've ever wanted--unless Aria has one more horrifying twist in store.

About the Author

Sara Shepard's first story ever, which she both wrote and illustrated, was about friendly yellow creatures that lived in a backyard garden. It won second prize at the State College, Pennsylvania, library, and was bound and placed on the shelf. (The binding was yellow. The book was called Quizzles . Maybe it's still there!) Sara Shepard's second story was about a five-legged camel named Lloyd and his band of friends journeying through the human circulatory system. When Shepard was young, the things she wanted to be when she grew up were a soap opera star, a designer for LEGO, a Claymation artist, a geneticist, a fashion magazine editor, and, most of all, a writer. She grew up in Pennyslvania, on Philadelphia's Main Line, and went to college at New York University in 1995, the height of the club kid era. While in college, she bought many pairs of purple vinyl pants, loud leather jackets, brightly colored club kid sneakers, and even a Day-Glo pacifier. After recovering from that unfortunate but short-lived phase, she had a series of jobs? interning at Elle magazine, filing important documents at J.P. Morgan, and writing and editing at Time Inc. At each of these jobs, she kept a separate folder on her computer of stories she wrote when she had free time. Eventually, she got an MFA at Brooklyn College, started receiving evil text messages from someone only known as A, nearly got run over by her best friend's SUV, and kept thinking she saw dead people everywhere.
