"Select-a-Part? What is That?" "An auto parts recycling yard." "Automobile recycling?" "Yeah, they collect old wrecks and take the good parts off before squishing the bodies into scrap metal cubes. Actually, they let the customer come into the yards and select the parts they need. It's a lot cheaper than ordering a new part from a car company." Agnes cupped her hand over her chin and thought for a moment. "I wonder if they would have a hub cap." Tim grinned, his blue eyes twinkling. "They have hundreds. Why? are you starting a collection, Auntie?" "Don't be silly." She glanced back at him sharply. "I lost a hub cap on the way here. I want to replace it." "Oh!" His face straightened. "Oh, yeah. Well, why not drive over to the recycle yard in the morning? I"ll show you where to look for a hub cap to match the ones you have. At Select-a-Part you select the part you need." "You sound like a cheap commercial." "For what they pay me, they are cheap." Quotes: A great new story mixed in with characters from her first book, I love following the retired play wright solve yet another crime. Who says us older women do not have adventures. Thanks Miss Trudeau for creating a good detective story for us adventurous older women. A little complicated at the beginning, but the author made the whole story clear at the end and I was pleased, for now the whole story fell into place and I kept saying, "Yes, yes, yes, it all makes perfect sense."

Editorial Reviews

Three books By Patricia Trudeau
Bodies on Belmont Drive / Select-A-Part / Breathless at St. Bride's

"I have just read Bodies on Belmont Drive and Select-a-Part.  I was greatly amused and impressed by smart, spunky Agnes!  The two books are a good promo to all retirees. Live your senior years intelligently.  Be active physically and mentally."

"I have read Breathless at St. Bride's, and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I found that the plot unfolded very smoothly.  The pace was not too slow, just right.  It sustained my interest and curiosity.  Agnes was definitely at her best.  She's like French wine:  she gets better with age.  I suspect that the next locale for her sleuthing could be either somewhere in the Rockies or in Red Deer. Victoria is one of my favourite cities.  I love its quaint and picturesque setting."
