The last thing Snow White and Rose Red expected when they opened the door of their cottage one cold, wintry night was an enormous, shaggy bear seeking shelter. But he was no ordinary bear. He was kind and gentle, and found a surprising way to repay them for their goodness. A favorite tale for generations, this story of the triumph of simple kindness over evil finds perfect interpretation in majestic paintings by master artist Gennady Spirin.
