A thrilling prairie buffalo hunt. Fourteen-year-old Madeleine saves Fort Verchères in 1692. A Viking house in L'Anse aux Meadows. Expo '67. These are all defining moments in Canadian history. Canada is a country with a fascinating history, as vast as the Great White North itself. The Story of Canada features true stories that have all contributed to the Canadian consciousness: a humorous story about a "Loyalist cow"; Martin Frobisher's quest for the Northwest Passage; the discovery of insulin; Roberta Bondar; and so much more. Replete with colourful illustrations and facts, it makes the perfect addition to any Canadian's library.
