Supernatural: Nevermore

HARPERCOLLINS PUBLISHERS | July 12, 2007 | Mass Market Paperbound

Supernatural: Nevermore is rated 5 out of 5 by 2.

Twenty-two years ago, Sam and Dean Winchester lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. In the years after, their father, John, taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America...and he taught them how to kill it.

Sam and Dean have hit New York City to check out a local rocker''s haunted house. But before they can figure out why a lovesick banshee in an ''80s heavy-metal T-shirt is wailing in the bedroom, a far more macabre crime catches their attention. Not far from the house, two university students were beaten to death by a strange assailant. A murder that''s bizarre even by New York City standards, it''s the latest in a line of killings that the brothers soon suspect are based on the creepy stories of legendary writer Edgar Allan Poe.

Their investigation leads them to the center of one of Poe''s horror classics, face-to-face with their most terrifying foe yet. And if Sam and Dean don''t rewrite the ending of this chilling tale, a grisly serial killer will end their lives forevermore.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Supernatural Rocks my Socks! As an already obsessed fan, when I found out that someone had wrote a TV Tie-in to my favorite show, I knew I had to get it. This book, as it states on one of the opening covers, takes place between second-season Supernatural episodes "Crossroad Blues" and "Croatoan". I believe that Keith R.A. DeCandido did a great job with this book. He used quite a few references to previous episodes in the season, as well as his own twists and turns. I also believe he did a excellent good job getting into the heads of Dean and Sam Winchester. Also, having a lack of new Supernatural episodes because of the summer break, this got me back in a good mood and excited for September when season 3 starts. If you're a fan of Supernatural, you won't be disapointed with Supernatural: Nevermore!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow I loved it...it was scary enough to keep me interested, but so not scary I couldn't sleep at night. I found myself laughing at a lot of stuff...I thought it was very well done.
