Rated 2 out of 5 by from A Little Less Awesome I absolutely adored the first book and couldn't wait to get my hands on a second helping of Awesome; however, the novelty of the idea quickly wore its way down to a pile of the same old, same old, and I didn't actually finish reading it. I still appreciate Pasricha's wit, but I definitely would not sign on for a third attempt at awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Uplifting I was having a particular bad week and decided I needed a pick me up. I had read the Book of Awesome and loved it so I decided to buy The Book of Even More Awesome. It did not dissapoint in any way. Reading each awesome thing the Neil Pasricha described brought a smile to my face every time and make me stop and realize, ya that is actually pretty awesome. I don't think there is a day that goes by where I don't think about one of the awesome things that is described in this book without smiling to myself and realizing things aren't as bad as them seem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much awesome! Just when you think you’ve had enough awesome things, there comes even more awesome things! I absolutely loved the first book by Neil Pasricha, The Book of Awesome, so there was no question when The Book of (Even More) Awesome came out that I would get my hands on it. The premise of the Awesome books is simple – it’s a list of the awesome things in our lives that a lot of people take for granted. Like stepping on that puddle with a thin layer of ice on top, or puppy breath, or maybe getting the armrest in the movie theatre. Pasricha often refers to the not-so-awesome (and nonexistent) book The Book of Annoying—like someone shaking your hand with freshly wet hands from the bathroom, or getting the wobbly table (wouldn’t that by a depressing book!). There really is something for everyone in this book, so if you’re looking to brighten your day, crack it open and read a few pages. Your mood will be lightened in no time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME! After reading Neil's first contribution to the literary community, I knew "The Book of Even More Awesome" was a must read! Each and every page is a delight to read and easy to digest, even for the non-scholarly types. I could read this work over and over, enjoying each and every laugh over and over again. Neil's superb way with words had me roaring with laughter while I sat, alone, devouring his witty sentences. The Book of Even More Awesome will leave you wanting more! I would highly recommend you read this book and share it with your friends, because every day deserves a little bit of AWESOME!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from absolutely awesome I really love this book. It makes me laugh, smile and reminisce about the memories that i can relate to in it's awesomeness. Life can be sucky sometimes but this is one book that you can pick up and read at any page and smile about one of the awesome things life has to offer. Neil writes the blurbs in such a comical and relatable way that makes it feel like your talking to an old friend reminising about the good old times :) i highly recommend this book because who doesn't need more awesomeness in their life !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purely AWESOME!! So, I happened to have a few dollars in my wallet & decided to splurge on a book...I picked up The Book of Awesome & instantly fell in love with it!!! So to hear that a second one was coming out, I was waiting patiently for it to be released...as I had read the first one more than 3 times & shared it with many friends!! I actually won a copy of The Book of (Even More) Awesome before it was released, so the waiting game was actually on the mailman!!! It finally came in my mailbox & I couldn't wait to open & sit on my deck to read the first few pages before having to make supper!! 2 hours later, I finally put the book down!! I loved it!! It is AWESOME and makes me smile all the time. Neil really has a creative mind and makes us think about all the things that are AWESOME that we may forget about!! I have never recommended a book more than Neil's two AWESOME books, as they really pick you up on a rough day or just make you happier reading them! They are books to be treasured and shared with many! I think these books will inspire many, as they do me, to think of the little things in life that we may take for granted and make us realize when AWESOME things do happen to us! I am constantly relating back to these books & I thank Neil for compiling all of these AWESOME things into 2 amazing books!! I recommend these books for teenagers, adults, and seniors!! Purely AWESOME!! Thank you!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Book!!!!! I got the first Book of Awesome as a gift and absolutely loved it so when I heard there was another one coming out, I was so happy. There are so many Awesome things we don't even think about, but these books bring them to your attention and make you think "yes, that is Awesome". Most of the Awesome stuff is what pretty much anyone can relate to. I love the books so much that I even got the App of Awesome for my iPod. I check it out every morning for a new piece of Awesome. What a great way to start the day!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A tribute to life's little moments...Awesome! An encore to Neil Pasricha's international bestseller, The Book of (Even More) Awesome is a treasure chest of life's simple, happy pleasures laid out in a casual and humorously written book. Neil identifies the stuff we all relish but rarely take the moment to pause and appreciate. You'll read it and have many "aha" moments because the awesome things are so relatable. The book truly has universal appeal and makes the perfect gift for young and old, novice and discerning readers alike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even more Awesome! I actually won this book from Neil's facebook contest which immensely brighten my day since the "awesome" thing I put down was something I actually was quite hesitant about, which was graduating. I'm about to graduate from university and as of yet all I see from this chapter of my life closing is the loss of the safe bubble that school has created for me where learning is all I needed to focus on. Now that I'm released out in the real world with a degree in one hand and fear in the other, it's nice to be reminded of the little things that matter the most. So what if I don't have my dream job yet? So what if I have to start paying my student loans? I just open my Book of (Even More) Awesome and I am reminded of things that ease my worries. Such as emptying the recycling bin on my computer, or when a social event I didn't really want to go to gets cancelled, or hearing the vacuum suck up big pieces and make those satisfying clinking sounds. Neil has compiled once again more amazing things that are overlooked everyday due to the stress and the routine of life. Because of this book, I realize that life is not as bad as it seems but is actually, once again, awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome is, as awesome does! So I missed out on winning this book by 1 tweet in a contest on twitter. Moments later though I got a notification that I had indeed won a super secret special limited sneak preview edition of my very own! #AWESOME! Perhaps it was the awesomeness of my answer that won Neil over, I don't know… What I do know is that at the end of a brutally UNawesome week, my "Book of Even More Awesome" arrived at my office on Friday. (ooh... When the UPS guy arrives with a package for you at the office and it's not work related! Awesome!) I don't even know where to start. All the things I loved about "The Book of Awesome" are again in play in this follow up. You can read it cover to cover in one sitting (it's really hard not to actually) or you can be like me and randomly open to a page and read a "chapter" or two (each Awesome thing/moment is it's one mini chapter) when you have some down time, are in a bad mood, or just before bed to give you a smile. I love the "I thought it was just ME!!" moments (watching your cream swirl when you pour it into your coffee! awesome!) I loved learning a new term (glue movies… who knew?!) and then spending a few minutes trying to figure out my own. ("When Harry Met Sally" & "While You Were Sleeping" fwiw) I loved the cheeky "Deja Vu" moment. (very clever Neil, very clever) Those that may question the appeal of a random collection "awesome" things, and pass it off as fluff or not very deep are missing out in my opinion. I am always taken aback by how visceral my reactions are. Some make me laugh out loud. (much to the dismay of my fellow commuters) Some I can't relate to, but I appreciate them as they are someone else's awesome, and that makes me smile. Some make me wistful and long for simpler days. Some make me sad. Awesomely sad. Because I know how awesome they really are and I don't have them anymore. But they all make me think of even more awesome things. (which I usually write in the back of my book to remember them) and make me more aware of all the little things the make me stop and smile during my daily travels: -When a baby catches your eye and gives you a big gummy, chubby cheeked smile #awesome -When your barista greets you by name and calls out your coffee order without you saying a word #awesome I could go on and on, but I won't. Buy the book. Read the book. Find your own AWESOME!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An AWESOME book to brighten your life...and give you a laugh! I can't praise this book and the accompanying website too highly. I stumbled upon the blog 1000awesomethings a while back and have been a faithful fan ever since. Enjoying the blog so much, I went on to purchase both the first book and now this book, TBOEMA. Both books stay on my nightstand so that at the end of each day, I can read something that makes me smile before falling asleep. I read the blog in the morning to start my day with a smile and a feeling of possibility. So, between the blog and the books, my day is bookended with happiness! These books are one of those discoveries that I want to share with everyone. I needed a gift this week for a coworker and the first thing that popped into my head was TBOEMA. I gave the book to my coworker and she loves it! I have another copy to give my daughter-in-law for her birthday next week. It's the gift that's a sure-fire pleaser for anyone. At this price, I plan to order more to give for birthdays and Christmas. For me, the blog and the books have brightened my days when they've been grey. I had some very dark days when I lost my dad this year and during those times it helped to read the silly, the sunny, and the sensitive chapters in Neil's first book. The second book, TBOEMA, is now my new go to book for tough days as well as good days. It's not only as good as the first (an accomplishment in itself for a sequel), but I think it's even better! In fact, I'd go so far as to say, booksellers should remove all the books in their spirituality and self-help sections and simply fill the shelves with these books. I've always thought The Beatles summed up the world's needs quite succinctly with one phrase: All you need is love. Well, Neil Pasricha's book, The Book of Even More Awesome, is the tool that will lead you to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Obviously Awesome I won a pre-order copy of this book by being the lucky 700th commenter on the Facebook page for 1000 awesome things. AWESOME! Even though its the second book, it is still just as inspiring and awesome as the first. Some Awesome things have their own quirks to them (... try the deja vu one, or the finally getting a perfect picture). It is an easy read, and you don't have to read the book in order! I think its fun to filp through and read the Awesome things in random orders- because theres always a few that you will miss, and when you discover them its like finding gold- AWESOME! Not only is this a book, but it is a movement of Awesome. A movement of encouragement for those days when you think nothing can get even worse, and you need some motivation. Neil makes a point of being a real person- not only did he personalize my book, but he personally responds to emails too. He is real, Awesome is real.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome This book should talk about itself, because it is awesome, and if we're making a list of 1000 awesome things, it should definitely be in it. Neil Pasricha has a way of writing, of describing things, that just gets to you. You can relate to each of those awesome things in life, because he picks those simple things that happens to everybody. He is wonderfully talented at finding that particular childhood memory you didn't even know you had, and making you feel like you're not alone: we've all had similar experiences, and that's what make life awesome. You'll find yourself nodding along at something that's especially true, or laughing out loud at his own memories, or even getting a little misty-eyed as you get more and more nostalgic. His writing style make for a fantastic reading experience. Try reading it out loud: his use of alliteration makes everything flow so well; it's magical, really.
