The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After

by Julia Quinn

HARPERCOLLINS PUBLISHERS | March 25, 2013 | Trade Paperback

The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After is rated 5 out of 5 by 1.

Once upon a time, a historical romance author created a family . . .

But not just any family. Eight brothers and sisters, assorted in-laws, sons and daughters, nieces and nephews (not to mention an overweight corgi) plus an irrepressible matriarch who''s a match for any of them . . . These are the Bridgertons: less a family than a force of nature. Through eight bestselling novels, readers laughed, cried, and fell in love. But they wanted more.

And so the readers asked the author . . .

What happens next? Does Simon ever read his father''s letters? Do Francesca and Michael become parents? Who would win in a Pall Mall grudge match?

Does "The End" really have to be the end?

Now, with The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After, Julia Quinn delivers eight sexy, funny, and heartwarming "2nd Epilogues" plus a bonus story about none other than the wise and witty matriarch Violet Bridgerton herself. So get to know the Bridgertons all over again-because Happily Ever After is a whole lot of fun.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love those Bridgertons! I'm so glad Julia wrote these and put them together in this book. I'm so glad I read them. I reread the entire series so that I would be current with the stories and the characters. I was able to experience Violet's growth for myself. I believe Julia did a fantastic job writing Violet in Bloom and it must have been incredibly difficult to do. I'm so happy with it. Yes, it was sad to experience Edmund dying but the tears came for me at the very end when she was talking with Daphne and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was splendid.

About the Author

Julia Quinn is the pseudonym used by Julie Pottinger (born Julie Cotler in 1970), a best-selling American historical romance author. Pottinger grew up in the New England and California. She has appeared on the New York Times Bestseller List nine times. Pottinger went to Harvard and majored in Art History. After getting this degree, she decided that she wanted to be a doctor, so she had to complete two more years of college to fulfill her science credits. While studying science, she drafted two romance novels. A few weeks after she was accepted to medical school, she discovered that her first two novels, Splendid and Dancing At Midnight, had been sold at auction, so she postponed medical school for two years while she wrote two more novels. By the time Pottinger finally entered Yale medical school, three of her books had been published. After only a few short months of studying medicine, however, she left medical school and devoted herself full-time to her writing. Pottinger lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Paul Pottinger. She was the recipient of the Romance Writers of America RITA Award in 2007 for "On the Way to the Wedding" and in 2008 for "The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever".
