Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I read this book in the summer . This book change my way of thinking about life and it was amazing. The writing is well written and the story is very touching. I love this book and the movie.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Written This book doesn't have an exceptional story line. There are lots of books about cancer where people fall in love and someone dies. What makes it different though is that it is so well written and John Green makes the characters very life like and likeable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible. If I could give this book less than one star, I probably would. The characters were awful, the dialogue forced and affected, and the story unbelievable (as in, it's so ridiculous that it can't be believed.) I know that I'm in the minority of people who didn't enjoy this book. I genuinely tried to like it--but I could barely finish it. It didn't tug my heart strings. Maybe it could have, if it had been remotely realistic. Maybe it could have if I didn't want to reach through the novel and throttle the protagonist. Read it, if you must. But if you subscribe to the mantra, "so many books, so little time" than I wouldn't waste my time on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from John Green is my superior I bought the original and i really want this one. [isnt the movie cover beautiful?] but i just have to say. John Green is truly one of the most talented authors ever. HANDS DOWN. I cannot tell the world how much joy and sadness this book brought to me. Boy! it was a emotional roller coaster. I just i can't even. The feels in this novel were just too much [but it made it special]. Tfios is a book that i keep re reading and every time i re read it i get more emotional and happy at the same time. John's other novels have also touched my heart, but this one. Oh my goodness. It was absolutely beautiful.

Editorial Reviews

CRITICAL ACCLAIM FOR THE FAULT IN OUR STARS :   “Damn near genius . . . The Fault in Our Stars is a love story, one of the most genuine and moving ones in recent American fiction, but it’s also an existential tragedy of tremendous intelligence and courage and sadness.” — Lev Grossman,  TIME Magazine   “This is a book that breaks your heart—not by wearing it down, but by making it bigger until it bursts.” — The Atlantic   “A story about two incandescent kids who will live a long time in the minds of the readers who come to know them.” —People   “Remarkable . . . A pitch-perfect, elegiac comedy.” —USA Today   “A smarter, edgier Love Story for the Net Generation.” —Family Circle   “Because we all need to feel first love again. . . . Sixteen-year-old Hazel faces terminal cancer with humor and pluck. But it isn’t until she meets Augustus in a support group that she understands how to love or live fully.” —Oprah.com , a Best Book selection and one of “5 Books Every Woman Needs to Read Before Her Next Birthday”   “[Green’s] voice is so compulsively readable that it defies categorization.
