While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it’s up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.

In this momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy’s sixteenth birthday unfolds. And as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look no furthure for the next Harry Potter. Meet Percy Jackson The Percy Jackson was not only what started me on my literary journey, but is also a piece of my childhood. Rick Riordan brought forth everything I had expected in this book and even more. An amazing conclusion to a phenomenal franchise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I simply love this series to bits, it's really my favourite series and it's going to take a lot to make me change my mind. I can't believe that the author finished this series, but glad he made a new one. To me though it isn' the same, the new series is much more serious I think because you've got to remember all the different versions of mythology they're talking about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is one amazing series. One of the reasons i liked the books so much was because the characters were so well developed! The first 4 books were incredible, and when i thought they couldnt get any better, the 5th book was published. The final book ended the series in a great way, though i was sad to see my favourite series coming to an end. JUST AN AMAZING SERIES!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh my gods this was awesome! I was only introduced to the series about a month ago and I loved all 5 books! The last olympian was as great as the others providing what I thought was a very fulfilling ending. I felt like I got to know the characters a lot more. The battle scenes were described so well and there was plenty of quirky humour. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from INCREDIBLE! Riordan did an amazing job with this series..he has gone from telling a childish point of view...to a newly grown man/teenagers point of view it is just and impossible book to put down!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Series Well Ended It is a full scale war, but Riordan still finds a way to spread humour throughout it all. He is skilled at giving the reader bits and pieces which have the potential to mislead you. He is proficient with holding the reader in suspense. The big prophecy is revealed and realized, and the twist doesn't come as much of a surprise as how much as who already knew, and that splintered my heart. While it isn't my favourite, it ended well making 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' a solid series and deserving of a spot on the 'Must Read' list.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy frijole! This book was amazing! The action just did not let up, ever. It was non-stop battles, and fighting and seriously messed-up and suspenseful events! I was hyperventilating by the time I was halfway through. It had the perfect ending, not to sapppy, not to 'happy', but just right for the series. The beginning I didn't like as much as the other books, but the middle to the end was just amazing times a billion and three! Great book! READ IT!!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Home is where the heart rests In The last Olympian there are no more quest, Percy and the camp must face the titans in their last stand. The 5th book still delivers the great laughs, book one had. As the great prophecy is fulfilled all our heroes fight for there lives. All the characters I have come to enjoy, play a part in this battle, of course with a few surprises. I felt that the book could have been longer, as if something was held back. Over all, not my favourite of the series but it left me wanting more, and that's what a good book should do.
