Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interesting story Containing an excellent balance of comic excerpts and written info, this book is an excellent choice for ANY FBOFW fan. Lynn goes into great detail about the lives of all of the characters. From cover to cover, this book is one of the best I've ever read. Lynn even goes into detail about why she chose to do some of the more gutsy things that she has done over the years(Lawrence being gay, Farley dying). This book is, without a doubt, worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hidden Stories Everyone is familiar with the Patterson clan - we have followed the lives of Elly, John, Michael, Elizabeth, and then April for over 20 years. But how much do we really know about North America’s best-loved family? To Lynn Johnston these characters are just that: family. She has a life history worked out for each one of them, even if that past never has cause to be shown. Every character that walks into the strip comes complete with a birthdate, ancestry, and their own personal struggles which govern how they interact with the other people in the strip. This book reveals these hidden stories and in doing so also tells the story of Lynn herself, and the part of her which each of her characters is drawn from.
