Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Life Changer! When I first bought this book, I was allowed it to sit around my apartment for a few weeks without touching it. When I finally decided to actually start reading it, it at first took a little while to get into: The chapters are very long, and so if you stop reading in the midst of one of the "lessons", sometimes it is difficult to back track to the main source or core of the teaching. However, this book touched my soul in such a powerful way. Especially the second half of the novel, where the author talks about living your purpose. This book has not only changed my perspective, but has given me tools that I have yearned for for years to relax, calm my mind and attempt to find peace amongst the chaos. Not only that, but I finally have the courage to take huge strides in the direction of my own purpose, and my own dreams, after so long of allowing myself to be limited by fear. I highly recommend this novel to everyone, but especially to those of you who are lost, find yourself struggling, alone, in pain, or suffering from Depression and Anxiety. This has truly touched me, and I believe it shall touch every soul of those who take the time to read it's teachings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An enjoyable book with an important message It seems so often in life that many of us resonate with things differently. A message that inspires one person might be totally unimportant to another. I think that is the gift that Robin Sharma brings with this book. Some of the reviews here say that what is said has been said before, and that might be true; however, until we "get it" we often need to hear things more than once and perhaps in several forms. I enjoyed this book and if I actually "knew" all of the information well enough, I probably would not need to read anymore books. Unfortunately, I still have some "learning" to do and, as such, I will probably re-read this book more than once more in my lifetime. If you have a perfect life, you don't need this book. If, on the other hand, there is room for improvement, give it a read.
