Let me tell you, this cookbook has been a life changer for us. I've cooked just over half the recipes and everything is delicious. I'm amazed at how straightforward each recipe is and how phenomenal the food is turning out. You don't have to be vegan or even vegetarian to love this cookbook. It's simply awesome!!!!

I am not a vegan but purchased this book because of all the hype and I wanted to change a bit of my diet. I love how the ingredients that Angela uses are not so complicated and I love the pictures too! This book is awesome and definitely would recommend this to anyone!

The only problem I have had is chopping the almonds as I think my food processor is not as heavy duty as it could be. Delicious and different recipes.

She was very pleased with the coloured, full page pictures and the easily obtained ingredients - no need to figure out substitutes. That's a big deal when you don't live in a large urban area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, Love, Love I became aware of the Oh She Glows blog last year when my sister found a recipe to make for an aunt and uncle who are vegan (we are not). Made the enchiladas and we loved it! Continued on with recipes from her blog and was impressed by many recipes. When I found out there was a book coming I preordered it immediately, and I am not disappointed! I have purchased it for others and have recommended it to many. I like that she has chapters about her kitchen tools and some of her more frequently used pantry items. I am still a meat eater but I love her use of ingredients. My boyfriend is a meat and potatoes guys and even he doesn't mind a lot of the recipes I have made. I will have to admit though, he does like me to throw a piece of meat into the recipe for himself, but that's easy enough to do! I highly recommend the book.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not a realistic title i bought this book a couple of weeks ago, found it interesting from a vegan perspective, made the cauliflower/mashed potato as a side, could have done better without her recipe, object to being called an omnivore makes me sound like a dinosaur i'm a meat and fish eater and not ashamed of it, thought it would give me some healthier choices on the vegan side, found the concentration on coconut water a choice i cannot tolerate disappointing, useful for a few of my vegan friends when they visit, prettily photographed think this will stay in the bookshelf more than i hoped

I love flipping through this book, the photos are beautiful and the recipes seem very easy to put together. So far I have made 4 recipes from the book and they are all absolutely delicious and satisfying! They even please my husband who often asks - wheres the meat! This book proves that meat free is not boring, it is exciting, flavourful and makes you glow :)

Angela has put together a wonderful collection of interesting, clean, and fairly simple plant-based recipes that will have your taste buds singing! I am neither a vegan, nor vegetarian (nor do I think that I will ever be), but am already in love with this book. The recipes that I have tried have been quite straight-forward and quick, using ingredients I usually have on hand. I REALLY like that Angela does not rely on the processed vegan foods as ingredients. I will definitely be trying more recipes in the coming weeks.

The recipes and ingredient lists are very clear. I like the notes on whether each recipe is gluten free or can be adjusted to meet various diet profiles. Great photos throughout.

Since I live alone this is perfect for all week. I am not a vegan but aspire to one or two days a week to try to live as one. Tasty and healthy recipes make it a good challenge for me. Thanks so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical healthy eating I've had this cookbook for 3 weeks now, and have made 7 or 8 recipes. I am looking to reduce my meat consumption. This cookbook is my bed time reading - it's that good! The recipes are easy to follow, with accessible ingredients and great flavour. Favourites so far include the Glo bar (no bake!) and Sweet Potatoes and Black Bean Enchiladas. The photography is enticing and your end products do look like as advertised. A practical cook book towards healthier eating habits, highly recommend it.

With good intentions, I buy a cookbook to make many meals for my family but I usually only muster up enough strength, and patience, to make one or two. As for "Oh She Glows", I am happy to say I have tried 12 recipes in the past three weeks; it is the best cookbook I ever bought. Simple recipes, great tasting, and the best feature, my 9 year old loves every meal. BONUS! I love this beautifully photographed cookbook and highly recommend to those who want to live a healthy eating lifestyle.

My only criticism of this book, is there aren't any nutritional values attached to the recipes. For people who count protein, sugar, carbohydrates and sodium these values would be helpful.

My review on Goodreads: I was so excited to read this book that I actually pre-ordered it online and it arrived in the mail before it was set to be officially released. I was not disappointed :). If you want to experiment with being vegan, or are vegan already and want to have new, easy recipes - get this book! I am very impressed - never have I ever had every recipe be successful. I have tried a lot of different vegan cooking and baking books and online recipes galore.  Most of the ingredients are basic and are attainable at the local grocery store, with the rare exception. The recipes are easy to throw together and most are fairly quick to throw together.  The imagery is beautiful - I think there is practically an image to accompany every recipe in the book. The story of the author, Angela Liddon, is a nice touch to the book. I feel many readers will be able to relate to her experience - especially women in today's society.  My favourite recipe so far is the one to make your own almond butter - the recipe is to die for! I actually let out a little moan when I tasted the first teaspoon. I shall list the recipes below that I have tried so far.  Overall I recommend this book really to anyone - simple yet so enjoyable.  The Recipes: Effortless Vegan Overnight Oats Protein Power Goddess Bowl Effortless Anytime Balsamic Vinaigrette  Crunchy Maple-Cinnamon Roasted Almond Butter I haven't gotten to try many...but I couldn't wait to review this book any longer!

I've been following the Oh She Glows blog for a few years, so I was thrilled when I found out about this cookbook. The book is beautifully put together, with photos to accompany each recipe. I'm not vegan but I have a lot of food intolerances, and this cookbook is ideal for me, especially considering most of the recipes are gluten-free friendly, or have a gluten-free adaptation suggestion. I made the cauliflower, sweet potato, and red lentil soup last night, and it was delicious. Looking forward to trying more recipes!

This book is good for people who want vegan recipes that don't rely on processed meat/dairy substitutes. They're also good if you want to limit sugars and stay away from processed grains. There are some ingredients that you can only get at a health-food store, but not all recipes feature them. The recipes are doable for inexperienced cooks.

I also made the Sweet Potato & Black Bean Enchiladas ...the filling alone is fantastic. I'm not Vegan ... just wanting to eat healthier and get away from over processed foods and this book has so many delish recipes each with a beautiful photo it is going to be easy to do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best vegan cookbook ever This book is amazing. Unlike most vegan or gluten free cookbooks, the recipes in Oh She Glows are relatively simple with simple ingredients. There are only a few specialty items and the instructions are not overly complicated, but all the recipes are packed with flavour and nutritious ingredients that feel delectably sinful sometimes! I love the whole food ingredients and that most recipes can be adapted for gluten-free cooking, if not already gluten free. You might be eating vegan and really healthy, but you'll never miss out on wonderful tasty foods!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Recipes for Vegans and Experimental Vegans I am so thrilled with this book! The recipes are relatively simple, healthy, and delicious. I really love that they use common ingredients (no searching for an elusive ingredient that you will only use once), are quick to prepare, and are delicious! Even my finicky one-year-old loved the Sweet Potato and Black Bean Enchiladas. In the few recipes I've tried so far, I found that the prep times were a bit longer than those stated, but I also had kids hanging off me, so that's probably part of it. Overall, I highly recommend this book!
