Rated 4 out of 5 by from good advice anyone could and should follow. The concepts are easy to understand and make sense. The book could be half as long if they just told you the info and skipped all the barber banter. Still definitely worth reading.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One or two good concepts. While I agree with all of the concepts and suggestions in the book there are really only one or two that matter. In the book he explains, in VERY simple terms the concepts of pay-yourself-first and the importance of contributing to your RRSP. He gives a general guide to what to do if you want to become comfortable in your MUCH later life. This is a terrific guide for someone who is in thier 20's and if you earn enough maybe 30's but it is VERY, VERY basic and nothing truly new or special about anything in the book. Instead of telling us all the concepts, which could be listed on 1 page in point form he takes and entire fictional work to get his point across. I recommend this work for someone who absolutely doesn't know where to get started and thinks that they may be stuck in a 9 to 5 job for their entire lives. For everyone else I recommend something more hi-brow. A nice feel-good read that never develops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Required Reading This book tells you how simple personal finances really are. The problem today is that many people forget these simple little rules, so this book serves as a great reminder of what money is used for and how to use it efficiently. It's definitely a must-read for working people.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Wealthy Barber An excellent read. I found the book very interesting and informative. A straight forward approach on how to save for the golden years. Chilton won't make you money over night but in the long run he will help you gain financial freedom
