Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantabulous I had this cookbook for 2 years and made most of the recipies in it and they were all awesome. The recipies were simple, stright forward, and even an kitchen accident prone person like me was able to use it, until i set it on fire. I've ordered another copy however and should soon be able to enjoy more. (don;t ask how it caught on fire... it just happend.) Very much worth the buy for anyone vegan, vegitarian, or just like delicious food :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! This was the first cookbook I picked up when I was thinking about going vegan, and every single recipe has been delicious! I love the veggie burgers and the chocolate chip cookies and the peanut butter cookies... every single recipe I've tried has been so tasty and none of the recipes are very complicated so it's definitely a good book for people just getting into vegan cooking. Every vegan should own this cookbook!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best, Most Complete Vegan Cookbook This is, simply stated, the best vegan cookbook out there. If you are new to veganism or considering going vegan, this book contains excellent healthy *and* tasty recipes to replace familiar comfort foods, like Scrambled Tofu, Fronch Toast, Chickpea-Hijiki Salad Sammiches and The Best Pumpkin Muffins. If you've been a vegan for a while, Isa provides recipes that take your cooking to a whole different level, like Sweet Potato Crepes with Cilantro-Tamarind Sauce and Jerk Seitan. Her writing style is witty and she gives tons of tips for equipping your kitchen for vegan cooking. She doesn't rely on any soy cheeses or pre-packaged fake meats. Buy this book before all the rest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bon Appetite!!! A must read! I'm a foodaholic and a picky eater. I recently developed allergies to dairy and needed some ideas. I picked up this book and now my prayer's have been answered! From appetizers to desserts, it's sure to please even the most discriminating of palates! Afraid of tofu? The "scrambled tofu" will fool you into thinking that you are eating a scrambled egg skillet. It's light and humorous approach to vegan cooking landed it at the top of my list of recommendations! Go on and give this book a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a delightful surprise! This is a *great* book. I'm not vegan, but was looking for various recipes my milk & egg-allergic nephew could enjoy, when I stumbled upon this delightful find. Low and behold - here they are! Amazing chocolate ganache cake, and to die for cupcakes that no one believed were 'vegan', this book has changed my nephew's enjoyment of birthdays forever. ('Really I can eat this? But it's so good!' -no more soy ice cream and fruit for him while we all eat cake. And has our cake ever improved with these recipes!) There's a huge assortment of easy to make, wonderful meals in here, which have gone a long way to improving my diet to a more meatless/dairyless one. Now when I have vegetarian friends over they know it will be a huge treat - not just creative pasta - and my one vegan friend thinks she's found heaven in these pages! The thoughtful, wonderfully witty writing has found me curled up on the couch reading with laughter, and the creative cooking tips have changed the way I use my kitchen forever. I strongly recommend this book for vegetarians and vegans - the huge range of delicious (and inexpensive) meals is fantastic, and a total must have. I also recommend this for health conscious non-veg's, anyone with dairy allergies, and general cooks looking for delicious new ideas (the Curry Carrot Bisque is constantly bubbling on my stove now, and has become a staple in my diet - so amazingly delicious!)
