Void Moon

by Michael Connelly
As told by Michael Connelly

Little Brown And Company | January 15, 2000 | Hardcover

Void Moon is rated 4 out of 5 by 3.
New York Times bestselling author Michael Connelly writes novels of brilliantly original suspense. In this electrifying tour de force, he takes us into a world of extremes: too much criminality, too much money, and too many ways to die.
In L.A. Cassie Black is another beautiful woman in a Porsche: except Cassie just did six years in prison and still has "outlaw juice" flowing in her veins. Now Cassie is returning to her old profession, taking down a money man in Vegas. But the perfect heist goes very wrong, and suddenly Cassie is on the run--with a near-psychotic Vegas "fixer" killing everyone who knew about the job. Between Cassie and the man hunting her are a few last secrets: like who really set up the job, why Cassie had to take the change, and how, in the end, it might all be a matter of the moon...

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This can't be the end of Cassie Black!! About halfway into this book I started casting who should play in the movie version. Sharon Stone as Cassie Black? Tommy Lee Jones as Jack Karch? The first third of this book is as good as anything I've ever read and the last two thirds is almost as good. I'm just hoping Connelly will find a way of bringing Cassie back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Captivating and Intriguing! This is the first work that I have ever read by Michael Connelly, and I found it to be outstanding! I could not put this book down! Connelly makes us care about the most unsavoury characters through making us understand where they are coming from. The intrigue is achieved through various plot twists and the element of surprise! In my humble opinion, Connelly is a master of creating a thrilling mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very last paragraph!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Void Moon A big disappointment, pretty predictable plot, definitely not a Harry Bosch novel.

From Our Editors

Cassie Black thought she`d left behind her profession of robbing casino gamblers of their winnings until a set-up too good to pass up lures her back. Everything goes according to plan - except that the mark has so much money, someone with a lot of power is going to be very angry. In Void Moon, Cassie runs from gunmen who know her every move in advance and are closing in on her most closely guarded secret - something she will do anything to protect. Michael Connelly uses the same fiery pace and brilliant plotting that made Blood Work a best-seller.
