For what it is, it's a great movie. No, it's not historically correct, and no, it's not a gripping drama. It's a pure action flick, and it's one of the best ever. In a pure action movie, there needs to be a good premise (which doesn't need to be fully explored), killer action sequences, some badass quotes, and a great soundtrack. This has that. Who didn't go "damn!" when Leonidas kicked the Persian messenger off the bridge yelling "This is SPARTA!" There were plenty of moments where I was left thinking "What just happened?" but still loving it. It wasn't trying to be a historically accurate, dramatic portrayal of the Battle of Thermopylae. It was trying to be a fun, visually stunning, killfest with some bad-ass quotes in there. The battle sequences were great, and the visual effects were wonderful. What more do you what
A Decent Film
Jesse Wright
This film proably deserves better than 3/5. But considering some of the film,'s I put at 4/5, I don't think 300 would match up to any of them. I have heard people compare this movie to Braveheart. Sure the plots of the too might be simalur, but Braveheart was way better, a true classic. Sure this movie might have had better special Effects. They both had a stronge leader. and both had something happening away from the battle impacting them. The Acting in 300 is decent, considering it tookthem only 60 days to film it. Overall all I got what I expected with this film.
A Legendary Motion Picture

A Legendary story about a boy taken from his mother at a young age; trained to become a one of the greatest warrior spartians that ever lived during a time of conflict for Planet Earth. A King of Kings. A grand tale that brings shivers down your spine; each scene is mastered to excellence that tells tales of a time where conflict came upon Middle Earth and few men stood to defend the world from dis spear. A digitally mastered Legendary motion picture that is incredible and will definitely keep you in your seat waiting for the next visually stimulating scene.
