Elia Kazan's compelling social drama was the winner of eight Academy Awards and marks one of Marlon Brando finest screen performances. Terry Malloy, a handsome but inarticulate longshoreman, gets involved in a labor scandal when a fellow dock worker is murdered. He knows that the victim was killed by the oppressive labor union for squealing to a commission investigating misdoings. Terry intends to keep his mouth shut and his job safe. But when Edie, the dead man's beautiful sister, comes to town, he must choose between his allegiance to a corrupt union and his loyalty to Edie.

From the Studio:
Casablanca: easy to enter, but much harder to leave, especially if you're wanted by the Nazis. Such a man is Resistance leader Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), whose only hope is Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), a cynical American who sticks his neck out for no one, especially Victor's wife Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), the ex-lover who broke his heart. Ilsa offers herself in exchange for Laszlo's transport out of the country and bitter Rick must decide what counts more -- personal happiness or countless lives hanging in the balance.
Winner of three Academy Awards including Best Picture, Casablanca marks 60 years as a beloved favorite with a new digital transfer and so many bonuses that no matter how often you've seen it, this Deluxe 2-Disc DVD looks like yet another beginning of a beautiful friendship with an unforgettable classic.

They were best of friends. They would honour their country. And it changed them all. The Deer Hunter is Michael Camino's stunning Oscar-winning picture about three Pennsylvania steelworkers named Mike, Steve and Nick. They grew up together as proud Americans and when it came time to serve their country in Vietnam, they didn't hesitate. But the war brutalized them in ways that no one could have foreseen. Years later, they and their loved ones have to deal with a legacy of pain and tragedy that threatens to tear them apart. And some of them will never be able to let go. Complex, evocative and grippingly moving, this film is a must for anyone who loves well-acted drama and masterful storytelling.

High-spirited Gigi (Leslie Caron) lives with her Grandmama (Hermione Gingold) in genteel poverty in a Parisian townhouse and is schooled Thursday afternoons by her sophisticated aunt in the ways of high society: deportment, posture and an appreciation of fine wine, food and jewels. The whole idea, of course, is to shape Gigi into the perfect mistress for some lucky Frenchman, as has been the habit of the women in her family for generations. But no one counted on wealthy family friend Gaston (Louis Jourdan) actually falling in love with her and proposing (quelle horreur!) marriage! This effervescent musical features Maurice Chevalier at his charming best in numbers like "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" and "I Remember It Well" and highlights costumes and postcard-perfect images of France that will make you as giddy as if you'd had a glass of champagne.
