This is truly for beginners and I love it. I bought two DVD’s when I bought this one as I really wanted something for beginners (true beginners). Something that would build my confidence that I could actually do the poses and this one did it for me. I have been doing the AM part of the tape 4 mornings a week right now and will increase that as time goes on. I have not tried the PM piece yet. In one of the reviews the person said that Rodney did not hold the poses long enough and I agree with that as I have found that he flies through them. The part I really like the most is the relaxation part at the beginning and the meditation piece at the end of the routine. If you are looking for a true starting point then I would recommend this DVD. I am also over 50 and very overweight and am able to keep up and do the poses.

This dvd is fantastic especially for the people that think they will never be able to do yoga. I am over 50 and have been doing the AM portion with Rodney Yee for over 8 years and I still find it beneficial. It is wonderful for relaxing and loosening up your muscles. Rodney Yee has a very pleasant voice and his tone is very soothing.

But the AM portion with Rodney Yee is less than inspiring. He seems to rocket through the poses and does not provide many cues as to where your attention should be during the poses as Walden does. He obviously knows his stuff, but as a beginner, I'm keen to be made aware of the small things that make yoga what it is and I don't find the AM routine very effective in that regard. I'm going to try and return it.
