This movie is exactly what I thought it was going to be. It is the stereotypical Mark Wahlberg lead action movie. You have awesome actions scenes, and moments of intensity and moments of having fun. The movie is about a former smuggler pulled out of retirement when his brother in law screws up his own job. Mark Wahlberg is great as usual. he is great in the action sequences and knows when the lighten the mood. I wish he would star in a movie that has more substance than these action thrillers. Ben Foster is the other standout, playing Wahlbergs best friend. He is great as the recovering alcoholic, and does the most in limited screen time. Kate Beckinsale really does not have that big of a role considering her star power. She plays the stereotypical wife, but really has nothing in the role, beside her looks. The movie has moments where it feels like it is dragging on, but it always recovers nicely. When I was younger i feel like I would love this movie so much more, the problem is I have seen so many movies just like it they all get blurred. A solid 2 hours of entertainment, but overall nothing special.
