A much-needed, fresh-fanged glimpse at a vampire classic, Wes Craven's Dracula 2000 is a stylish horror flick about Count Dracula (played by 300's Gerard Butler), who is accidentally released from his crypt by thieves. Upon his resurrection, Dracula begins to wreak havoc, particularly in the life of Mary (Justine Waddell) whom Dracula has selected to become one of his brides. It is up to antique dealer, and former keeper of Dracula's sealed coffin, Abraham Van Helsing (Christopher Plummer) and his assistant Simon (Johnny Lee Miller) to rescue Mary. This exciting, modern vampire tale, set against New Orleans' vibrant Mardi Gras celebrations, provides a surprising explanation to Dracula's origins, as well as countless thrills and chills for any vampire movie-lover.
