Everythings Gone Green (Ws)

May 6, 2008 | DVD

"Everything's Gone Green is about when you get older and you feel certain doors closing very quickly on you. It deals with that feeling of now or never." says Douglas Coupland. In what is a sly comment on the times since his first publication of "Generation X" over a decade ago, Everything's Gone Green is the first story by Coupland written specifically for the screen. In the tradition of such films as Garden State - Ryan (Paulo Costanzo), in his late- twenties and not getting any younger, is tempted into a money- laundering scheme, but struggles with his ill-gotten gains while trying to find happiness.

"Appealing... photographed as if it were New York in Woody Allen's Manhatten." (New York Times)

"Utterly disarming and smart Canadian comedy which benefits big-time from Douglas Coupland's debut screenplay effort. A small classic - exactly what we need from indies - and exactly what give them a good name." (Film Journal International)

    Amazing

I hate Canadian content! It is cheap, the acting sucks, writing is dull, pace is slow and painful. This movie was non of these things. It was truly hilarious! Acting was good. Script was great! Highly recommended. This is a must see! BTW, another good diamond in the rough is "Last Kiss"; an Italian flick that is also a must see if you can get past the subtitles. Hats off to this movie!!
