Hardball 02

Starring: Keanu Reeves, Diane Lane
Director: Brian Robbins

May 6, 2005 | DVD

Keanu Reeves stars as Conor O'Neill, a likeable drunk with a knack for betting on the wrong teams. To pay off his gambling debts, he doesn't knock over a convenience store or steal from his mother, he ... wait for it ... agrees to coach a kiddie baseball team. Lest you think it's about become Ted's Excellent Little League Adventure, the kids on this team are not adorable little moppets. They are quite realistically portayed -- inner-city kids with bigger problems than missed pop-flies and vocabularies that might curl some parents' hair. The transformative aspects of the plot are glossed over -- why does Conor suddenly really care about the team, and how come the kids are suddenly ace players? -- but Reeves fans and baseball fans will likely make it through the seventh-inning stretch.

Hardball was a movie that i think would touch souls of people. It was very interesting and i saw it twice with my friends. I'm only 14 but i know what i'm talking about! this movie was everything a movie could be, it was both sad and happy. Its a movie that people that are a little older can see like higher then 13 or 14 because you have to understand it or if you have a very smart child who is younger they can see it, but some of it is sad and maybe not be the best for children. That is my review for the movie Hardball
