Every single David Ayer movie is the same in some capacity. A couple of cops, or wanna be cops, or some kind of authorities of some kind ride around in a car, and do things that cops shouldn't do. The first David Ayer written movie I saw was Training Day, and I loved it. I thought it was original and great. Than I saw Street Kings, which he just directed, which was okay, but very similar to Training Day with lesser acting performance's. Than I saw Harsh Times, which he directs and writes, and frankly, I am tired of his films. The only thing that keeps this movie at a 3 stars is Christian Bale's acting. He is truly amazing in this movie. If you happen to watch this movie before any other one of David Ayers movie's you will probably love it, but your opinion of his movie's change after you watch more of them.
