This is an original movie. It has the type of feel where the movie is being showed at you, not just to you, if that makes any sense. I don't get all the negative reviews it got, this movie is hilarious, but also a action movie at the same time, with alittle murder mystery thrown in for good measure. Robert Downey Jr gives a knock out performance. He narration of the story is one of the best parts of the movie. Val Kilmer gives a great performance. Downey Jr and Kilmer have great on screen chemistry and its hilarious. Michelle Monaghan gives a good performance in one of her first ever performance's. Overall a great movie to watch to let time pass. A absolutely great movie

I'm not one to enjoy gun-violent movies, and yet, this movie really nabbed me from the get go. It's likely the dialog, which was beyond witty and sharp in places to outright hilarious, and the plot, which has so many twists and turns I felt proud to have sussed it out.

Somewhere between a detective movie, an action movie, and just a clever movie, Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer just crackle in this movie, and you'll be smirking, laughing - and on the edge of your seat - in turn. Enjoyable all around, though if you're squeamish, keep your pillow, hands, or duckblind of choice handy for quick use.

This was a good movie to watch. I liked the whole narration by Robert Downey Jr. and the witty dialogue between him and Val Kilmer. The story was jumping all over the place which made it a bit hard to follow at times, but it all came together in the end.

    Incredibly enjoyable

What a great movie! It takes the suspense/action/comedy genres and what we are saying amongst ourselves while we're watching these films and fuses them together brilliantly. It was somewhat reminiscent of "Pulp Fiction" in the way very "unfunny" incidents (murder, beatings, flying coffins) were constructed and presented in such a way that you couldn't help but laugh. Robert Downey Jr. just takes my breath away. His performance is simply perfect. He realizes he is somehow the protagonist and tries desperately to be worthy. The narration is hysterical, as is the relationship between Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer. It's when you see movies like this that you realize how much talent in Hollywood is wasted. The only negative is the over-convoluted plot---by the end, I couldn't tell you what actually happened, and I'm not sure the main characters could either. But that is really so beside the point, anyway. Underneath all the quick wit and sarcasm is actually a rather poignant meditation on dashed dreams. And Robert Downey Jr. holds it all together. High re-watch quotient because things move so quickly! (Maybe next time I'll be able to keep the plot straight!)

    Kilmer at his best...

This movie was hilariously original and yet had the edge of a murderous mystery. Robert Downey Jr plays his hyper and somewhat deranged characters with the calm Kilmer complementing his humour. Downey and Kilmer are the new comedy duo other actors need to watch out for.
