Great family movie!

One of the cutest movies ever! I cry every time I watch it. I used to have a dog exactly like Marley and watching this movie always brings back memories of how annoying but loveable he was. I would consider this probably Jennifer Aniston’s best acting performance. She and Owen Wilson are both great in this movie and work great together. Although the ending is somewhat predictable, it’s a touching tear jerker every time. I would defiantly recommend this movie to any family looking for a good, fun family night movie to watch with the kids. (And the dog)

My husband had wanted to see this in the theatre but were unable to get in while it was playing. Lucky for us! We would not have been able to leave the theatre. The reason for this is the ending...we had just "put down" our own dog.... I do NOT agree with the comments from the others with respect to this movie. My daughter who is in her late twenties, also borrowed this movie to watch with her two young children (under age 9). They also loved this movie! We had a dog that we raised from 6 weeks of age through to her 12th birthday. She was so ill with cancer at the end that we really had no other choice but to put her down. While watching this video, we were able to relate to the destructive "puppy" stage and the entire life of a dog. This movie teaches all the joys and sorrows of raising a dog - (although this movie went a bit overboard on the issues lol). It is a wonderfully put together movie that only people who really connect to their pets can appreciate. This movie can be used as a wonderful teaching tool for yound children who are bugging their parents for a puppy...if the parents are able to explain what is happening in the movie so that their children truly understand what is going on. I highly recommend this movie!!! (We purchased a copy of this movie for ourselves, our friend's daughter and our two daughters (who have small children).
Too Negative

When I heard people talk about this film, I thought it would be funny, and have a sad ending. I was right about the sad ending, but the overall movie, wasne't funny. Sure they have the dog wrecking stuff, but there was so much potential, but they used almost none of it. Owen Wilson was great in this movie, and showed he is just not a dumb comedy actor. Jennifer Aniston was good too, but like the rest of the movie, I felt she played the parted too negativly.
