Chuck Levine and Larry Valentine are New York firefighters and best friends. Larry is still mourning the death of his wife who died one year ago, While Chuck is a womanizing Lady's Man. Larry forgot to change the primary beneficiary from his wife to his children in the one-year dead line. His only option is to marry someone else, but with that not an option for Larry at the time, he is stuck. While at home he comes across an article in the newspaper about Same Sex domestic Partnership and decided to register Chuck as his partner, and the caretaker of Larry's kids if anything should happen to Larry. Larry Promises to chuck that it will be a simple process and it would only be on paper, until they find out they are being investigated and they now have to get married to keep the same sex partnership rights. This movie started off great. The Scene with saving the large man from the apartment fire was priceless. Although I must say the comedy was a little bumpy throughout the movie. I am an Avid Adam Sandler fan but I feel that he didn't shine like he usually does in this film. I thought the scene when Chuck (Sandler) and Alex (Biel) go shopping for the "girl's day" could have been so much better, that scene had so much potential but it just feel apart. Jessica Biel wasn't the greatest casting choice for this movie, Her acting wasn't there and she looked really forced, She was great in the last few scenes in the end. I don't know why it wasn't there through the whole movie. Kevin James did fantastic,He delivered. He has a great Corky comedy to him, where even his facial expressions will make you laugh. He really made you feel the emotion when he was mourning his wife, he did great. The ending made the whole movie worth the watch, although it wasn't as funny as it could have been, the strong bond between Chuck and Larry made the whole movie. I give this movie
