    Purely Refreshing

    Jefferey Morrison

Life has an uncharted map in which everyone must create a path to live their lives, in the good times, and even the down-trodden times.

Taking such a thought, and forming it into film is sometimes a challenge to pull off, without having to resort to overused ideas of pain, suffering, and loss. However, 'One Week' takes the now mortality tested life of Ben Tyler (Joshua Jackson) and paints a vivid, lifelike portrait of how the pieces which make his life have come together.

Overall, 'One Week' is a heartfelt, deeply moving piece which sits the viewer down and allows the psycology of the characters to move the story forward. There is nothing better than knowing that having to take a chance of finding out who you are can be the fuel to ignite the courage to live life with passion, and a little faith in oneself.

I am NOT canadian, but I am absolutely in love with this movie. For those of us who have never had the opprotunity to appreciate the beauty of Canada, this was quite a treat, and the story line itself is very touching and thought provoking. Joshua Jackson did a wonderful job of representing the charatcer of Ben and his situation as well as all the other characters Ben runs across in his quest. I would recommend this movie to everyone.

    Canada for an Australian

I enjoyed One Week primarily because like many Canadians, I had not explored much of Canada despite grandiose plans and a great country to explore i had not seen the beauty of Canada.

One Week is a fantastic advertisement for Tourism Canada and there are some funny parts along with relationship moments between Joshua Jackson and various characters.

Worth buying just for the scenery and the cowgirl bit.

    Oh, Canada

Canada has never been an overtly nationalistic sort of nation. You never hear us chant, "CAN-A-DA" enmasse at political rallies or sports events. We show our love for our nation through our monuments (think giant hockey stick or giant perogy-on-a-fork). As corny as some of these displays of country -pride may be, through the avenue of this movie they touch deeply. But don't let me confuse you, this movie isn't about Canada. It's about a young man's struggle with his mortality - his life choices. If you're young it will make you wonder how you may react under similar circumstances and if you're older it will make you happy to be alive but no matter what your age it will make you feel proud to be Canadian.
