I watched this movie with my friends, and I absolutely loved it. Fabulous thriller, and probably one of the best I've seen. It's about John and Kate, who are unhappily married after Kate's third child was stillborn and is recovering from a drinking problem. They decide to adopt another child and head out to the local orphanage, where they meet darling Esther, and they take her home with them.
But things are not as they seem. Esther shows problems at school when she breaks down screaming after the school bully destroys her book and tries to take away her choker, calling it her "collar". Soon, the bully ends up being pushed down a slide and breaks her ankle. Esther and Max deny having anything to do with it, but more problems reveal themselves, and only Kate is brave enough to speak up about it.
Watch as the horror unfolds and black secrets are revealed.

:) Haha, okay wow that was a really bad guess. I wonder what's up with that choker. Gotta watch this someday. I also enjoyed a horror movie that I think was called The Orphanage, about a boy who makes imaginary friends... but they aren't as imaginary as they seemed to the parents before.

Haha, no. Her head does not fall off, but she is definitely not the child she pretends to be. And thanks :)

I wonder what happens. I heard a story when I was younger that this woman always used to wear a choker, and she told her husband not to touch it, but one night he did, and then the woman's head rolled away (because it wasn't attached to begin with). :P Could you tell me if that's what happened in this movie too? Or what? Great review!
