Neither the material nor the acting is award-winning but it does its job at pulling at your heart strings. Very sappy and at times cheesey but sometimes that exactly what you want in a romance. Gerard Butler is the strongest and most charismatic actor of the leads (besides maybe Cathy Bates) which makes it all the more sad that his character is dead

Based on the international bestseller, by Cecelia Ahern- PS, I Love You the movie was great. Although it was very limited to the actual novel, It got the point across. I’m not saying this book should have one Oscars. But a good film to watch with the man by your side. It is a drama/ Romance and touches on all emotions. The movie is about a death and how life should continue on forward even after the worst thing to that could happen, happen. The film takes place in Irish homelands. And its stars with Gerald Butler, now he was in the film 300, and everyone loves that film, plus Butler. In this film, he isn’t the big strong Spartan. We see a different character in him, which makes the movie that much stronger and entertaining. This is a well-done film but the director as well. He has made angles and camera movement presented in entertaining way. He brought the characters close to the audience. Captures moments that would relate to the audience, and made as feel epithetic for the characters. I thought this movies was well done, It was a bit different from the novel, and because I loved the novel, I recommend this movie to everyone, because you’ll find something you’ll can relate to.

I loved this movie. I've since gone out and bought the book. I'm finding a few differences as usual, but both are very good. I've also since gone out and bought myself a very special leather journal with a private inscription on the outside that only my husband will "get" and I'm filling it with letters and pictures especially for him. I hope it takes me a long time to fill it and I hope he appreciates it when I'm gone. So.. I guess the movie affected me a bit. Wonderful movie!
