I am not known as a guy who cries during movies I never have, and unless something changes, probably never will. The first time I watched this movie, I had tears rolling down my face. It's such a movie story, and is portrayed so well, it's hard not to. Will Smith gives, without a doubt, the best performance of his career. I don't think there is a question about it. Jaden Smith, Will's son, gives on of the better child performances you will ever see. Together they pull this movie. Watch this, and try not to cry.

Excellent film. Just proves that Will Smith has been accepting all the wrong scripts since Six Degrees of Separation. He and his son filled the film with honest, intense portrayal of this rags to riches Chris Gardner inspired story. Highly recommended.

A very emotional movie that gives you a glimpse of what some people go through just to make it in this world. Inner strength and love for another (in this case his son) cannot stop anyone from acheiving their dreams. Will Smith just shines in this one!
