Shooter, directed by Antoine Fuqua is an action packed suspense thriller. Based on the novel “Point of Impact” written by Stephen Hunter, the film is well scripted and planned which makes it easy to stay focused and understand from start to finish. The movie starts of in a mission based setting within a hot zone involving military objectives which goes wrong during an ambush, then evolves into a whole new twist involving a retired marine corps sniper known as “Bob Lee Swagger” played by Mark Walberg. The sniper is one of the best in world, and is led astray by crooked members of the government, and becomes framed and a fugitive. As the movie unfolds the action increases showing exceptional acting by Mark Walberg as he deals with the situations faced leading him to run for his life and getting revenge. His swift acting and thinking portrayed in the film gave momentum and built up the feeling inside as a viewer watching the movie. The weaponry used in the movie produced amazing sound quality when watched in Blu-ray format and in surround sound, is what really made a difference personally to me. The storey line of the movie could have been written a little better to make it more interesting, however the action packed scenes made the imperfections not seem visible which worked out well as a viewer as I personally like action packed movies. The length of the movie is quite long however action packed scenes and consistent flow helped eliminate the lengthy period and kept me in tuned. Overall the movie is well written and directed producing a one of a kind thriller conspiracy movie that has many twists and getting revenge. Shooter a movie to watch over and over for its action packed scenes, has led me to watch it over 4 times, so if you are looking for an exciting movie to watch that upholds from beginning to end Shooter, will not disappoint.
