Renowned British natural history filmmaker Sir David Attenborough hosts The Life of Birds by David Attenborough, a 10-part series about these conquerors of the air. Nearly three years in the making, the series takes a close-up look at how birds have evolved from prehistoric times and at the current battle many species face against extinction. Individual episodes look at the adaptation of feathers in birds' evolution, flight mechanics, meat-eating birds and the challenges of finding a mate and raising a family.
