Description

Three Irish-Catholic brothers living in Long Island--a "serious" Catholic worried about his relationship with a Jewish woman, a steadfast husband having an affair and a commitment-phobe being pressured by a girlfriend--talk over their romantic entanglements. The 27-year-old writer-director-producer won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance for this debut.

Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Independent Spirit Award winner for best first feature. Director Edward Burns shot the film on a shoestring budget -- on weekends -- over a period of eight months. He used his own family's home as the main set. Initially released on 7 screens in the USA on August 4, 1995. The film had an opening weekend box office gross of $60,276. Color by DuArt.
