The cinematography, set, costumes are incredible in this movie, the sound track is top notch and the actors are wonderful. A Great History movie.

Very surprising for a Hollywood movie to have the quality of a BBC production. Good story, good acting, dry humour... it has it all.

Somehow, I had managed not to hear about "The King's Speech" until the day it was released in theatres. I watched the trailer and was immediatly intrigued. From beginning to end I was captivated. The story was wonderful, the acting was imaculate, the script was perfect. I can say without any doubt that it was one of the best movies of the year and deserves to win every award it was nominated for. A beautiful movie!

I don't understand all the praise

The King's Speech has been up for many awards, winning a few. It is considered the main opposition to the "The Social Network" to win the Best Picture Oscar. I loved "The Social Network", and I believe it is fully deserving of all the awards it is getting. "The King's Speech" on the other hand, I do not think it deserves any of this recognition. The movie, to me, was a complete bore. Since when does a movie about the monarch automatically mean it gets award attention? The three main actors in the movie are all getting awards attention as well. Colin Firth was okay, but by no means as exceptional as everyone is saying he is. Geoffrey Rush was a huge let down for me. He character was suppose to be quirky and funny, and an outlier, but he does none of those. He seems like a regular guy? The thing that I really don't get, is the Helen Bonham-Carter praise. There was nothing even remotely close to being great about her performance. i found the script to be really stale, and the direction was weird. Tom Hopper , the director, tried to make the movie visually interesting, but it is really just distracting, and blah. I do not get the awards this movie has received.

Well, I guess you are entitled to your opinion, my opinion is that by changing the names all your negatives could be directed to "The Social Network" which after viewing for 30 min I have up on as meaningless & clueless!
