I enjoyed this film more and more as it progressed and didn't want it to end where it ended. Having bought the DVD, I had the pleasure of watching the making of the film which is one of THE best 'making of' documentaries on a film I've ever seen. Superbly done and thoroughly covering it from beginning to end, with lots of time given to the actors, enabling the viewer to get a glimpse of their perspective on being in the film. Back to the film...is satisfying on many levels and has a depth that isn't immediately apparent, yet would present itself, like the proverbial peeling back of the onion, on subsequent viewings.

Berry Pepper and Annabella Piugattuk are simply outstanding actors. The chemistry is amazing and character growth for the pilot, Charlie (Pepper)believable and powerful. Annabella, has amazing chemistry with the camera and Pepper.

Filmed entirely in Canada (Manitoba and B.C.), directed by Charles Martin Smith. A real surprise .. a quality production, and the documentary and DIRECTOR voice over are very good.

Highly recommend seeing this picture, the story is outstanding.

Luckily, I knew nothing about this movie when I went to see it in the theatres. What a delightful surprise! I was worried that it would be another boring airplane crashes in the wilderness - fighting for survival type of movie but I was wrong.

The majestic beauty of the tundra is outstanding and you really connect with the characters...even the plane crash is believable.

If you want a refreshing break from those Hollywood hyped blockbuster movies then watch this one.
