From Our Editors
It's all about the music when it comes to The Who's classic rock
opera Tommy. Available now for the first
time on DVD, it wails to life as Roger Daltry faloots through the
life of a boy whose senses are paralyzed after he witnesses the
murder of his father. He embarks on a psychedelic journey through
time and place in search of a cure and a good game of pinball.
Based on guitarist Pete Townsend's stage play,
Tommy mixes imagination with music to hit
audiences with a whole different vibe. The songs speak for
themselves about as well as they speak for the film so unless you
haven't heard "Pinball Wizard", you'll need to this to the
collection.
