Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic This story is a great family read. It is wonderfully repetative and y little three year old was able to read the whole book after a few reads through together just because of the rhythm of the story and the rhyming. Beautifully illustrated, a book that I will hand down to my other child and to my many friends with children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A long time favourite My mom bought this book for my sister and myself when we were children. It was a favourite then, and I count it to be one of my favourites now. This is the first book I reach for when buying a gift for a baby shower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Utterly delightful even 100x later I was very happy I bought this book as a board book as it has had to withstand hundreds of readings and two children. Like the equally fantastic book "Peepo" (by the same authors) this book is beautifully and thoughtfully illustrated, and the rhymes are clever and a great intro to other nursary rhymes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent book My mother bought this book for my son when he was just a newborn, she had continued to read it to him and he is now 18 months old. he loves this book so much we have to buy him a new copy because he chewed most of the pages up and and has manhandled it bringing it back to her continuous times throughout the day to be read to him over and over again. I think that this book is amazing for young children and all mothers or grandmothers should have it for their child.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Each Peach Pear Plum Janet and Allen Ahlberg's Each Peach Pear Plum is a delightful book that appeals both to children and adults. The book brings characters from several best-loved nursery rhymes and stories together in a ramble that winds around to bring them all together in a whimsical picnic at the end. This is an "I spy" book, making reading an active, challenging experience even for those who haven't yet learned to read the words;on each page, a particular character takes centre stage while others hide in the background inviting the young reader to point them out. Each character who appears suggests a new rhyme or story to be learned and discussed, or a familiar one to be remembered and repeated together. There is something comforting about Janet Ahlberg's drawings, but they are equally amusing, and as such, perfectly accompany Allen Ahlberg's funny, snappy, rhyming text. Although Chapters recommends this book for readers 4-8, this is my 16-month-old's favorite book at the moment, and mine too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Each Peach Pear Plum This is a wonderful book for children of all ages. My 18-month old has loved this book since she was 6 months old. The rhythm and the language holds her attention time after time. The pages have detailed drawings that appeal to both young children and older children. After several readings, you'll be reciting the poem by heart!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Each Peach Pear Plum An excellent "hide and seek" book full of fun rhymes and excellent illustrations. The story cleverly combines characters from several nursery rhymes. This book makes a great gift for newborns through to 3 year-olds. Our copy is quickly wearing out from repeated reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Each Peach Pear Plum This book was one of my favorite children's books. I read it repeatedly to my three daughters beginning at 18 months up to three or four years old. It is a lovely rhyming story, which encourages interaction with the reader through an I-spy game. It combines characters from a variety of nursery rhymes in a fun and creative way. The illustrations are clear and beautifully drawn, with excellent attention to the details of the story. At the end for example, the number of plates piled up for the picnic were the exact number needed for all the characters to attend the picnic. I highly recommend it!
