Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its a ghost in my mind Although the character in this novel was enjoyable and the story line was pretty good I didn't find it to be anything special. Don't get me wrong I still recommend it for a good read but I gave the book to my public library and have yet to read the second or third book. Then again I am in my twenties and this book is meant for a younger audience. I just can't see a future for this character as it would be odd, for this type of a series, to bring someone back to life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good book! I read this book a month ago. And I enjoyed reading it. It's about a girl, who choked on a gummy bear, because she saw her crush passing by. There are some quotes on the book, that makes you feel better. ! Hope you read it! [:

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gummy Bear Charlotte is a girl who dreams to be popular and she spends her summer remodeling herself to be popular but then she dies.. choking a gummy bear. Even after, she is still trying to be popular and to go to the fall dance with Damen, a super hot popular guy. It's a really nice story, very funny. I love the Wendys and there was a few stereotype wich were fun, like the cheerleader sister being gothic. The relationship between Charlotte and Scarlet was well developed and truthful. It was a really good read I would recommend it to everyone. Also the moral in it was thoughtful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Funny I debated buying this book for a couple of months and then after reading some reviews on it I decided I should purchase it. I am glad I did, it was definitely worth the money. It was funny, witty, and charming. The characters were well developed and really enjoyable. It was a pretty quick read, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Oh and a sequel is set to be released July 1!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Funny Take On "Life" After Death I actually read this in the summer, instantly attracted to the cover and "look" of the novel, and thought it was really funny how Charlotte, the main character, has spent so much time and effort to remodel herself so that she can become popular. She's trying to have a better school year and actually "be" someone this year, but wouldn't you know it? She chokes on a gummy bear (Yes. A Gummy Bear.) and dies in the classroom before anyone can come help her. Even after she dies, she still can't rest in peace and refuses to accept that she's dead and never will be popular. This all sounds really sad but it's actually written in a really amusing style. So even though she's dead, Charlotte still strives to become popular and go out with Damen, the hottest guy in school and one whom she's practically stalked the past few years. The overall story was good, but I've still read better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The cutest dark tale This book was a great surprise! First, the presentation is perfect; the black hardcover with the page's silverlining gives it a sweet, cute and dark look. The inside of the book is as lovely; each chapter is presented with a drawing, a quote and a little introduction, which reminded me of the tales I used to read when I was a child. As for the story, it is cute and original enough. For once, the character isn't a shy, innocent and selfless teen but a very egocentruc young girl who's main concern is to be popular. The book is filled with irony and humor. I loved the characters, too.
