Rated 5 out of 5 by from If You Give a Pig a Pancake If you give a pig a pancake, you're likely in for a day of fun and adventure, not to mention a big mess! In the spirit of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and If You Give a Moose a Muffin, Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond have created another delightful picture book. Although these stories are very similar, children will enjoy following the girl's adventures of bubble baths, tap dancing and building a tree house. The very predictability of the story is one of its strengths. As we follow the chain reaction, the story comes full circle in the end, with the pig wanting another pancake and the little girl exhausted and asleep. The pictures and the text are a perfect match. Felicia Bond's illustrations are lively and the pig is irresistible. It is no wonder that the little girl goes along with the pig's antics. Then, the pig will ask you for a bath...and some bubbles...Chaos reigns supreme when an accommodating little girl tries to please a demanding little pig in If You Give A Pig A Pancake.

Employee Review

CUTE!!!This is -- without a doubt -- the cutest children's book ever made. It is about a greedy pig who comes to a girl's kitchen window for a pancake. It leads to the pig wanting syrup to go with it, and then a bath, and much more! The illustrations are by Felicia Bond, which is what really sells the book.
