Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More plot, less steam This is book 2 in the Georgian series. I would recommend reading these in order. My criticism in book 1 was that the storyline was too thin. That said, the romance was smoking hot. By contrast, in book 2 the storyline has significantly improved and while it was still relatively simple and didn't require much thought, it at least had the cross and double-crosses of a story trying to intrigue. However, the hotness factor was turned way down. Actually, it was only the final 1/3 of the book that had any steam at all. The tension built through the first 2/3 of the book left me wanting a bit - as the characters of Christopher St John and Lady Winter were separately very intriguing. All that said, I was entertained and would recommend this series, based on my reading of the first 2 instalments so far.
