Beautiful Stranger is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Escaping a cheating ex, finance whiz Sara Dillon’s moved to New York City and is looking for excitement and passion without a lot of strings attached. So meeting the irresistible, sexy Brit at a dance club should have meant nothing more than a night’s fun. But the manner—and speed—with which he melts her inhibitions turns him from a one-time hookup and into her Beautiful Stranger.

The whole city knows that Max Stella loves women, not that he’s ever found one he particularly wants to keep around. Despite pulling in plenty with his Wall Street bad boy charm, it’s not until Sara—and the wild photos she lets him take of her—that he starts wondering if there’s someone for him outside of the bedroom.

Hooking up in places where anybody could catch them, the only thing scarier for Sara than getting caught in public is having Max get too close in private.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you liked "Beautiful Bastard" you will LOVE this one! I thoroughly enjoyed Beautiful Stranger: sexy scenes, characters with spine and humor, and a story that I was engrossed in. While Christina Lauren did a good job with Beautiful Bastard, I much preferred Beautiful player because their writing style is more polished, the relationship between Sara and Max is more developed and real. It's not mindless physical attraction, there's appreciation, admiration and respect. I loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilarious & Sexy! I absolutely loved the first book in the series, so I wasn't at all surprised when I read Beautiful Stranger and loved it, too! :D I absolutely love Christina and Lauren's writing styles...they make a fantastic writing duo, and they just have a way of telling stories! They're funny, steamy, and heartwarming all at the same time! :D While Beautiful Stranger is centered around a new couple, we did get to see how Bennett and Chloe are doing, and I personally love getting to see guest appearances of past main characters in series like this, but I also love getting to know the new characters, and Max and Sarah were both fantastic! They were funny, and they were seriously fantastic together! Their relationship was super steamy...and wasn't exactly what you'd expect at first. ;D When I first read Beautiful Stranger, I couldn't put it down, and stayed up until I flipped to the very last page! I read this one a while back, and it's still stuck with me, so you know it was a great one! I just absolutely adore this series, and am going to be jumping at the chance to read any books that these lovely ladies put out because they are seriously amazing authors! :D Overall, I loved Beautiful Stranger! It may have different main characters than the first book, but I assure you that you will love them, too! I'd recommend this book, and this series to anyone who loves steamy, funny, and just all-around awesome books! *I was given a gifted an ebook from Kobo to test out a Kobo Aura, and this was the book I chose. All opinions are my own. * This review also appears on my blog and on other social media sites.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very Ou La La book View more of my review and others at my blog: www.mynotsovacantshelf.blogspot.com Turn on the air conditioner. Better yet, crank it up high. The sexy sexy writing of Christina Lauren is back. Now the first one set the bar and I was all over and loving the first book. This one was pretty friggin awesome too. Maybe it was the crazy place, or maybe it was the sexy accent (probably the sexy accent), but I was drawn into this crazy whirlwind romance. Now there were some moments that I didn’t really see the appeal in (the camera moments with just a hand on the hip, and there was a lot of those moments) so, it wasn’t as great as the first one. But, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t crazy good. It was. It was. And I definitely like Max. Tehehehehe. There was some background story, some Bennet and Chloe, a lot of sexy moments. The smile that I had made my face ache. And, I am so excited for the next book in the series. Good: Max- max. Maxmaxmaxmaxmax. Mmmmm...And he actually wants to be in a relationship. Dear lordy. Sara--Messed up and for good reasons. But she is feisty and trying to be free. I like her. Bad: Well I guess some stuff I wasn’t really feeling, and it wasn’t as passionate as the first for me. Overall (Writing style, story line, and general): Overall it was sexerific. It was Purrrty. It made me giggle, and made me angry. It was the right amount of ou la la, and yeah! The writing of Christina Lauren is just as awesome as it was in the first book, but the characters and the stories are very different, which is something that I always love. It had me guessing and wondering what was going to happen, while it also had me smiling and loving these characters every minute. There were some moments when I thought “uummm...ok” but there were many more times when I was busy giggling. I can’t wait for the next in the series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good Sequel I have to admit that these are not my books ever because I would like it more if there was more of a story, but overall this book was still really enjoyable. I thought Max was a great character and English ( Bonus Points ) the characters overall were interesting. Overall this was a good sequel to this series and I do look forward to the next. :0)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Max-a-million This is a great "sequel" to 'Beautiful B*stard'. In this installment we are visited only briefly by Bennett/Chloe. This story alternates chapters between Sara and Max, the beautiful stranger. Sara is wonderfully written, a tiny bit insecure but a real lioness. Max is the absolute counterpoint to the stranger your mother warned you against. What a charmer! I thoroughly enjoyed the alternating he thought/she thought points of view. The storyline was somewhat predictable and formulaic, but the romance was steaming hot, alternative view points really refresh the genre, and I thoroughly enjoyed Max. Looking forward to more from this author.

Read from the Book

Beautiful Stranger One “You’re wearing the silver dress or I’m stabbing you,” Julia called from the kitchen zone, as I’d begun calling it. It certainly wasn’t big enough to be labeled a full-fledged kitchen. I’d gone from an echoing, rambling Victorian in the Chicago suburbs to an adorable East Village apartment roughly the size of my former living room. It felt even smaller once I’d unpacked, put everything in its place, and had my two closest friends come over. The living room/dining room/kitchen area was framed by giant bay windows, but the effect was less palatial and more fishbowl. Julia was only visiting for the weekend, for this night of celebration, but she’d already asked me at least ten times why I’d chosen such a tiny place. The truth was, I chose it because it was different from anything I’d ever known before. And because tiny apartments were pretty much what you were going to find in New York when you moved there without first securing a place to live. In the bedroom, I tugged on the hem of the miniature, sequined dress and stared at the extreme amount of blindingly pale leg I was offering up tonight. I hated that my first instinct was to wonder if Andy would think it was too revealing, while my second instinct was to realize I loved it. I’d have to delete all of those old Andy programs, immediately. “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t wear this.” “Can’t thi
