First in the all-new Cousins O’Dwyer Trilogy

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts comes a trilogy about the land we’re drawn to, the family we learn to cherish, and the people we long to love…

With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends.

Ireland.

County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations—and where her destiny awaits.

Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nan’s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses. Not far from the luxurious castle where she is spending a week, she finds her cousins, Branna and Connor O’Dwyer. And since family is family, they invite her into their home and their lives.

When Iona lands a job at the local stables, she meets the owner, Boyle McGrath. Cowboy, pirate, wild tribal horsemen, he’s three of her biggest fantasy weaknesses all in one big, bold package.

Iona realizes that here she can make a home for herself—and live her life as she wants, even if that means falling head over heels for Boyle. But nothing is as it seems. An ancient evil has wound its way around Iona’s family tree and must be defeated. Family and friends will fight with each other and for each other to keep the promise of hope—and love—alive…

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!!!!! I love love love this book, but maybe I am biased because I think Nora Roberts can do no wrong as an author, and so far I have read both of the books available for this trillogy and I can't wait for the third to be released. She sucks you in from the beginning, by the time you are in the middle of the novel, the twists the turns, you can't put it down until you've finished and you still want more...again love this novel

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Start! This was recommended to me at Chapters and it is the first Nora Roberts book I've read and I happy to say it did not disappoint. It had the supernatural aspect, drama, great scenery, and hot romance. I cannot wait to finish this trilogy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not one of her best I was looking forward to this new triology but book one wasn't very interesting. Hopefully book two will be better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from My First Nora Roberts Book I thought this was an OK, book. I have always heard a lot of great things about Nora and I wanted to read something of hers. I thought "Dark Witch" would be a great book. I didn't finish it and started something else though. It just didn't grip me like I wished it had! I'll finish it someday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVELY!!! I have read every one of Nora Roberts books and I absolutely loved this one.  I cried and laughed and was taken away by the fantasy!! Although it may have some flavour of another series, it's a story all its own I recommend this book!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Colour me disappointed I've been a huge fan of Nora Roberts for many years and, as an avid Kobo user, I can't wait to download her books the day they are published. With Dark Witch, however, my enthusiasm quickly turned into disappointment. The plot seems to be little more than a rehash of elements from other trilogies (Three Sisters Island, Morrigan's Cross and Sign of Seven). As well, Roberts' skill for great character development is sadly lacking in this book. The key players are lightly sketched; there is little connection between the two central characters, Iona and Boyle; and the story line is generally unfocused. Here's hoping this first instalment is simply setting the stage for a better effort in the subsequent books.
