Enders is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
The riveting conclusion to the sci-fi thriller STARTERS!
Someone is after Starters like Callie and Michael—teens with chips in their brains. They want to experiment on anyone left over from Prime Destinations—Starters who can be controlled and manipulated. With the body bank destroyed, Callie no longer has to rent herself out to creepy Enders. But Enders can still get inside her mind and make her do things she doesn't want to do. Like hurt someone she loves. Having the chip removed could save her life—but it could also silence the voice in her head that might belong to her father. Callie has flashes of her ex-renter Helena's memories, too . . . and the Old Man is back, filling her with fear. Who is real and who is masquerading in a teen body?

No one is ever who they appear to be, not even the Old Man. Determined to find out who he really is and grasping at the hope of a normal life for herself and her younger brother, Callie is ready to fight for the truth. Even if it kills her.

Adrenaline-fueled . . .  Fans of Starters will gobble this up.”—Booklist

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love! I read Starters a while ago, so I jumped into Enders with not remembering much about the world except that Prime Destinations were a controlling crazy "company." Glad to find out that it didn't take too much to remember who was who and what was happening. Again, I found myself thrust into the fast pacing and quick story line that developed way in the beginning. I couldn't put it down because I just wanted to know what the outcome would be. What would happen to Callie? To her brother? Would she have a happily ever after? I raced to finish it in two sittings. I normally love books that are set in the futuristic world, and this one was no exception. I couldn't shake off the feeling of not being able to control your own body. Or worse..Trapped in your own body and you know someone is using you to do unspeakable acts. How horrid! The twist that happened in the end was expected, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The reasons for it didn't make much sense to me, but I accepted it anyway. Questions were answered and I'm pretty sure there could be more developed there. As for the characters, Callie worked quickly to uncover all the truths and in doing so, she gained so much more strength. She developed into a stronger version of herself and I was happy to see her fight to the death, quite literally. Her actions and decisions weren't perfect, but that's what I liked about her. She's imperfect and she's quick to understand that and fix it anyway. The Old Man came back and this time he was even more creepy and sinister. He was definitely a mystery, but it ended up working to his advantage. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for quick sci-fi read! Especially if you like books where the main character is trying to unravel the truth, you'll love this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this sequel! I loved this sequel so much! Totally worth the wait. It's unique and special all on its own, but it caries Callie's story on pretty much from where we left her at the end of STARTERS. Every page is a thrill. And I especially loved that we got to meet some interesting new characters. But that ending!!! You think you know everything... but you don't KNOW!

About the Author

LISSA PRICE studied photography and writing, but the world turned out to be her greatest teacher. She walked with elephants in Botswana, swam with penguins in the Galapagos, stood on a field at sunset in the center of a thousand nomads in Gujarat, India. She's been surrounded by hundreds of snorting Cape buffalo in South Africa and held an almost silent chorus with a hundred wild porpoises off the coast of Oahu. She's danced in mud huts at native weddings in India and had tea with the most famous living socialite in Kyoto. When she sat down to write, she found the most surprising journeys were still inside her mind. She lives in the foothills of Southern California with her husband and the occasional deer.
