Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Life And Times Of Conrad Black A Life in Progress is a documentary about Conrad Moffat Black’s life. It begins with the many problems he suffered throughout his childhood and follows him right on through to adulthood. The book goes into great detail about his troubles throughout public school and the difficulty he had trying to graduate from college. It chronicles his struggle as he finally graduated from Carlton University with a BA in history before going on to graduate from Laval University with a law degree. This book is a must read for anyone who is interested in getting behind the scenes of Conrad’s life. The book talks in detail about his many business adventures. It starts with him buying out the Sherbrooke Record then moving on to publishing hundreds of community newspapers throughout Canada and the U.S. As well, this book is very good for anyone who wants to become knowledgeable on politics between the years of the late forties to recent times. Conrad provides detailed notes throughout the book about his role in the politics of the times. His passion and commitment to his country’s religion and politics is deeply entwined and very much a part of the retelling of his story.
