Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing book for an amazing country Not really a guidebook, more of a personal journey to some incredible places, activities and characters. I had no idea there was so much richness in Canada! The author has been to over 100 countries, he knows what he's talking about and I often laughed aloud at his funny observations. Anyone who loves Canada or wants to learn more about our country will love this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Book for a Great Country Saw this browsing for some inspiration, and found it. Never knew Canada had so much to offer. And love the fact that the writer takes you on a journey, introduces you to characters, and makes the places come alive. A great gift for anyone who loves, or wants to love, Canada.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I liked it Parts close to home were obvious, but if I was traveling to another province, I'd have this by my side. It's more about the journey. If you head to the west coast, put Canning's book alongside it for a double whammy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from obvious places I bought this book so my husband and i could do some sight seeing in our own country rather than traveling abroad. while looking in the Ontario section it said "support the blue jays" and "see a maple leafs vs. habs game" what an awful example of things to in ontario, that is not a one-of-a-kind travel experience. tell me about the blue mountains, the big nickle, the badlands, Algonquin park, or some of the other places that Ontario has. it made me think of how many places it wasn't telling me about, so my husband said to just take it back, it was a waste of money.
